1 out of 5 US households with children have at least one child with a disability. 12.7 million US children has some type of disability.
As a colleague and friend of GB Shades, I want to share with you the "1/2 inch story." Every parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle has their own 1/2 inch story. Lollipop Kids Foundation was started by Debbie Sahlin after her son suffered a traumatic brain injure. Her son, Ryan, was about a year old when he went with his father to a driving range and was accidentally struck by a swinging golf club. 1/2 inch one way he would have been killed, 1/2 inch the other he would have missed being hit. The trauma he received left him permanently disabled.
Debbie started Lollipop Kids Foundation to help other families raising children with disabilities. She serves a specific niche and has helped hundreds of families without the proper resources get the tools and support they need to help their child flourish.
Lollipop Kids Foundation is GB Shades' next door neighbor and friend. As our neighbor we have witnessed the life-changing effects on the kids and parents visiting the center. We are inviting all general contractors, architects, manufacturers and our friends to join us and play the 6th Annual Golf Tournament to support Lollipop Kids Foundation's work with children in our community. Please share this invitation with your friends and colleagues who may be interested.
